March in Jackson Hole: Comfort, Conservation & Spring Transitions
Snow still blankets the Tetons, but longer days hint at something beautiful ahead.
March is a month of transition in Jackson Hole — winter's quiet majesty meeting the first whispers of spring.
Wildlife becomes more visible, trails start to emerge, and the valley begins to hum with fresh energy.
What's New at Elk Refuge Inn
This month, we're completing our transition to all King beds — providing a consistent and luxurious sleep experience for every guest. Alongside the new hardwood floors and bedroom furniture installed in previous months, these updates bring a brighter, more comfortable feel to every room.

Our Goal for Every Guest
We always listen to guest feedback and create a space that feels welcoming, modern, and thoughtfully designed. We hope our March guests notice the difference and enjoy the upgraded comfort throughout their stay.
Local Events to Enjoy in March
March is packed with opportunities to connect with Jackson Hole's arts, culture, and conservation communities. Here's what we're excited about this month.
Women in Art Exhibition
March 5 – March 28, 2026
A month-long exhibition celebrating the creativity of local women artists — painting, sculpture, and mixed media. As a woman-owned business ourselves, this one is close to our hearts. It's a wonderful way to connect guests to the local arts scene and support women-led initiatives.
Snowshoeing & Wildlife Tracking
March is a magical month to get outside — the snow is still deep enough for winter adventure, yet trails are beginning to open. We recommend a snowshoeing adventure along the National Elk Refuge pathways, just steps from Elk Refuge Inn.
